After the death of my wife Ann all the above mentioned property given to her or what there may be remaining thereof is to be e qually divided between my surviving children, Jesse and Alexander excepted and William is to have no part of the land.
On 24 Oct. 1808, Presley N. O'Bannon came into Court and qualified as an executor. In 1813 543 and 1/2 acres of the estate was divided as follows: Lot No. 1 to John O'bannon, 66 acres: No. 2 to Elizabeth Pepper, 68 acres; No. 3 to Joseph O'Banno n, 66 acres; No. 4 to Bryant O'Bannon, 62 acres; No. 5 to Mason Lawrence, 64 acres; No. 6 to children of Joyce Lawrence (dead by 1813) and had married John Lawrence on 13 March 1786, 62 and 1/2 acres; and No. 7 to George Jeffries, 60 acres. Reco rded in Fauquier County Will Book 6, p.309 (Sundberg and Gott).
Ann (Neville) O'Bannon died in the year 1824. On 8 Nov. 1824 the Dower Tract on which William O'Bannon deceased lived was divided by Commissioners into lots as follows: Lot No. 1..to Bryant O'Bannon; No 2 to Thomas O'Bannon; No. 3 to Agnes Jeffr ies, wife of George Jefferies; No. 4 to William Utterback, husband of Polly; No. 5 to Joseph O'Bannon; No. 6 to Elizah Pepper, husband of Sally O'bannon; No. 7 to Presley N. After the death of Mrs. Drucill a (Utterback) Russell, a descendant, the property was sold and the cemetery with its ancient boxwoods and stone wall be been neglected, it has become a thicket of briars and honeysuckle.
