This worthy couple were united in marriage in their native state, came to Washington twp., Noble County IN in 1848, and soon afterward moved onto the farm in Sparta twp., where Anthony Knepper passes away July 22, 1899, while she had passed away about six years previously. To the union of this worthy couple were born five children: Phares, deceased; Sarah C., who became the wife of William Stocker; Susan; Margaret, married to Charles M. Prentiss; and William, subject of this sketch."
