"Mrs. Viola E. Cripe, 94 of 601 Harrison Street, Walkerton, died at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday in the E. Street Division Hospital, LaPorte. She was born July 28, 1874 in Walkerton and had been a lifetime resident. She was married to Allen E. Cripe wh o died in 1947. Her only survivor is a son, Otis of Walkerton. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Nusbaum Funeral Home, Walkerton, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Harold E. Williams, pastor of the Walkerton Unit ed Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Cripe was a member of Rebekah Lodge in Walkerton."

"Allen E. Cripe and Miss Viola E. Harmison were married last Sunday at 2 p.m. at the home of the bride's mother on the Island. The ceremony was performed by Rev. S. Snyder in the presence of none but the immediate relatives. An excellent weddi ng dinner was served and a number of useful and valuable presents were bestowed upon the couple. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Cripe wish them happiness and success."
