"Springfield, Illinois, July 29...Two young men named John Neidefer and Will Harmison of Todds. Point, Shelby county who have been paying attention to the same young lady, met today on the road. Harmison was accompanied by his brother. The tw o Harmisons attacked Neidefer who defended himself with a knife and stabbed Will Harmison just over the heart, inflicting injuries which will prove fatal. All are prominent in the are."
