4. Jeremiah Gilbert b. 4 Aug 1743, m. 22 May 1768 Pasquotank Co NC to Miriam Overman. She d. 13 Sep 1781. He wed 2nd Rebecca Morris on 20 Oct 1782 at Pasq. Co. Rebecca d. 1807. Children by Miriam: Nathan b. 25 Sep 1769, d. 31 Mar 1781; Abe0 Feb 1771; Josiah b. 20 Aug 1773; Mary b. 24 Dec 1775, d. 4 Nov 1776; Thomas b. 20 Feb 1779. The children of Jeremiah and Rebecca were: Joel b. 14 Oct 1783; Aaron Lancaster b. 10 Feb 1785; Ann b. 17 Feb 1787 at 5am, d. 13 Oct 1790.
5. Joel Gilbert b. 11 Feb 1747, m. 4 Mar 1768 Pasquotank Co NC to Elizabeth White. They had a son John b. 14 Feb 1769.
