Henry CHILES was born on 4 Apr 1671 in Jamestown, Virginia. (1) He died in 1720 in St.Paul's Parish, Hanover County, Virginia. (2) "Henry Chiles lived in St. Peters Parish, New Kent Co., Va., in 1699; was a justice in that county in 1714." (Sevier and Madden, Sevier Family History, p.512) There is inconsistency in the research as to the exact date of Henry's birth. If his mother died in 1671, he could not have been born in 1672. Henry CHILES and Margaret LITTLEPAGE were married. Margaret LITTLEPAGE (daughter of Capt Richard LITTLEPAGE or Jr. and Frances AUSTIN) was also known as Margaret Chiles. She was born in St. Peter's Parish, New Kent County, Virginia. Many writers refer to Margaret Littlepage as the wife of Henry Chiles, but to date I have not seen a marriage record or other documentation of this marriage.
