    Obituary Notice : "DANIEL BAUGHER, NORTH WEBSTER, DIES SUNDAY; LAST
    RITES WEDNESDAY Daniel Baugher, aged 85, a life-long resident of
    North Webster, died at 6 a.m. Monday at his home there. Death came
    unexpectedly as the result of a heart ailment." "Mr. Baugher was
    born in the North Webster community, Nov. 2, 1860, the son of Jacob
    and Elizabeth (Stemler) Baugher. He had retired from active work as a
    carpenter. His wife, Angelina, died Feb. 22, 1946."

It was also the 8 0th birthday anniversary of Dan Baugher.     Mrs. Daniel Baugher, aged 77, a lifelong resident of North Webster and vicinity, died at 3:20 a. m. Friday at the McDonald hospital. Death followed an illness of 10 days due to complications caused by an obstruction of the bowels.
    Mrs. Baugher was born at North Webster December 24, 1868, the daughter of Jacob and Phoebe Zints-master. As Angeline Zintsmaster, she was married to Daniel Baugher November 4, 1886. She was a member of the Methodist church at North Webster.
    Surviving relatives are her husband; two sons, Harry Baugher and Stanley Baugher, both of North Webster; one daughter., Mrs. Cora \\ Shildmyer, of Marion; a twin sister, Mrs. Katherine Baugher, of North Webster; six grandchildren an d three great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Pearl Binkley, passed away February 3, 1920.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday at the Baugher residence in North Webster, with Rev. J. A. Leatherman in charge, Burial will be in the North Webster cemetery. The body will be removed from the Phelps & Troxel funeral home to th e residence where friends will be received after 2 p. m. Saturday.

    Obituary notice from Feb 22, 1946: "Mrs. Daniel Baugher, aged 77, a
    lifelong resident of N. Webster and vicinity, died at 3:20 A.M. Friday
    at the McDonald hospital. Death followed an illness of 10 days due to

    was born at North Webster Dec. 24, 1868, the daughter of Jacob and

    "Grandmother Catherine Baugher was a twin daughter of Jacob and Phoebe
    Zintsmaster who had migrated to Kos. County from Bavaria and settled on
    80 acres directly north of North Webster."
    Obituary Notice for Jacob P. Zintsmaster: "Died Wednesday, March
    6th, 1901 at North Webster, IN. The funeral services will be held at
    the Evangelical Church Friday, March 8th at High Twelve. Interment by
    Hacker Lodge, No. 321, A.F. and A.M. Brother Jacob P. Zintsmaster was
    born Dec. 24, 1823. He was raised to the degree of a Master Mason in
    Tuscarawas Lodge, No. 59, in the state of Ohio, and became a member of
    Hacker Lodge No. 321 in 1869. He died at his home near North Webster,
    Indiana, aged 77 years, 2 months, and 10 days. J.H. Lyons, W. M.; D.
    Carpenter, Sec. North Webster, IN, March 6, 1901."
    1900 Census--Kosciusko County, Tippecanoe Twp. states Jacob emmigrated
    in 1832, has been in U.S. for 68 years,. NA.
    Daughter Catherine says she was born in IN, in the year 1868. Older
    daughter Phebe says she was born in OH in 1864 (taken from 1900
    census). This may place time of move from Tuscarawas County OH either
    between these times or when Jacob joined the Hacker lodge in 1869.

    found in local records) and Philipina Phoebe ROSCHE for 16 Jun 1850.
    The E&R church has baptismal records for son John, born 31 Mar 1851,

    article about Charles Baugher, son of Charles and Catherine is says
    the following: "He (Charles,Jr.) comes form a family of farmers..."
    "Mr. Baugher's parents were Charles and Catherine Baugher, both
    natives of the fatherland, where their ancestors for untold
    generations had lived and acted their parts in the world. In the year
    1847 Charles Baugher, the father of our subject, and family came to
    the U. S. and settled in Tuscarawas County OH where he lived until 1860,
    at which time he disposed of his possessions there and moved to
    Kosciusko County In, locating in the township of Tippecanoe, where his
    death subsequently took place. The six children of Charles and
    Catherine Baugher, Charles, Jacob, John, Adam, Catherine, and Peter,
    were born in the old country." "Charles Baugher (Jr.), of this
    review, was a youth of less than 18 year when he bade farewell to the
    familiar scenes of his childhood and came to the new world in quest of
    his fortune. In his native land he received a fair education and
    after becoming a resident of the U.S. he turned his attention to
    carpentry, which trade he followed seven years. He left Ohio in Aug.
    1851 and came to Kosciusko County where his services as a carpenter were
    soon in much demand."

    "HISTORY OF KOSCIUSKO County IN" P. 547, an article about John A.
    Baugher, son of Charles Jr. tells the following: "Charles Baugher
    (Jr.) came to the United States when he was 18 years old. They landed
    in New York City, went on to Ohio, and in 1848 settled at North
    Webster, where the Baughers were pioneers and where the name has been
    known and honored now for seventy years."

    Father Henry Kline whose obituary was published last week. She was over 70 years of age.

    DEATH: Father Henry Kline, an old and respected citizen of this place, died at his residence Wed. morning, January 18. He was born in Warsbach, Canton,
    Otenbery Rheim, Bavaria Sept. 1815 and settled in Tuscarawas county, Ohio when he came to America in 1837. January 10, 1839 he was united in marriage to Christina Baugher, who survives. In 1842 he sought and found peace in the Lord. In the fa ll of 1844 he came to Kosciusko County and settled on a farm in Tippecanoe township, but soon after sold it and moved to North Webster where he was engaged in the mercantile business for about 37 years. He was also a prominet member of the Maso nic Lodge. He was 70 years, 4 months, and 11 days of age. Surviving with his Wife is a son, John Kline.
