James married Mary Harmison on 14 Oct 1875 in Fulton County, Illinois. Mary (daughter of John Harmison and Sarah Kuykendall) was born on 31 May 1855 in Cuba, Fulton County, Illinois; died on 27 Jun 1931. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Mary's obituary states that she was the youngest child of eight children born to John Harmison and Sarah Kuykendall and the last surviving sibling at the time of her death.

Note: John Harmison first married an unknown woman. She had to have been the mother of James, Martha, Ruth and Joseph; and, may have been the mother of Susan as well. According to above census, John and Sarah were married within the past yea r of the taking of the census.

Joseph and John Harmison were definitely brothers.

John married Sarah Kuykendall on 14 Jun 1838 in Fulton County, Illinois. Sarah was born about 1820 in Ohio; died in 1885; was buried in Cuba, Fulton County, Illinois. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Sarah Kuykendall appears to be related to an Abraham Kuykendall of Romney, Hampshire, Virginia (now West Virginia).
