    Moved from LaPorte, Indiana to Jefferson County, Wisconsin in 1838.

    Moved from Dodge County, Wisconsin to Eau Claire County, Wisconsin in 1856.

    Farmsteaded with wife, daughter, Sarah and son-in-law, William Small in Cedar Lake, Barron County, Wisconsin, from 1876 to mid-1890's.

  1. 8.  Samuel Harmison, Sr. was born about 1776 in Berkley, Virginia (son of James Harmison and Mary); died on 2 Mar 1841 in White County, Indiana; was buried in Prob. Bedford Cemetery, White, Indiana.

    Notes:

    The property owned by Samuel at the time of his death was located along McKillup Creek, White County, Indiana and was sold to a William Sill by Samuel's son, John, executor of his estate, following Samuel's death.

    Samuel is most probably buried at the Bedford Cemetery which is located near his former property in Monon Township, White, Indiana.

    Samuel Harmison opened a blacksmith shop in Door Village, southwest of LaPorte, Indiana in Scipio township in 1833 according to "LaPorte History" by McDonald.

    Samuel Harmison, Sr. and wife, Nancy Arnold, were both illiterate and signed documents with an "X".

    Served in the War of 1812.

    Helped build the stockade in Door Village, LaPorte, Indiana, 1832 during Blackhawk War scare.

    Voted in LaPorte, Indiana, 1832.



    Will probated February 14, 1842, White, Indiana.
