    George first wed Gladys Tucker; they were divorced in Logansport, IN in 1918; he then wed Mabel Alsie Gilmore. George enlisted into the Army in Logansport, IN in 1918, and was discharged from Camp Sherman, OH in March, 1919.

    George married Mabel Alsie Gilmore on 10 Apr 1920 in St. Joseph, Michigan. Mabel was born on 22 Feb 1891 in Milford, Illinois; died on 30 Mar 1977 in Niles, Berrien, Michigan. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    John Harmison wed Isaac's wife, Eunice "Emma" Barrett's sister, Esther "Hettie" Barrett.

    John Harmison is buried at Clark County Cemetery, located at the corner of County Rd. 775 E. and 1050 N.; graves, S.W. Corner; John, Nancy, and Mary (dau of J.&E.) died 1848, age 17.

    John's tombstone is engraved: "Eldor" John Harmison was born August 6, 1810, died November 12, 1857, aged 47 yrs. 2 mos. 6 days. "Sincere Affectionate and Kind/As a husband, father, friend/Trusting in Christ to God resigned/upright in life an d precious end".

    Wife, Esther Barrett Harmison's obituary states that her husband was "the late Reverand Harmison".

    John married Esther Barrett on 26 Sep 1828 in Miami County, Ohio. Esther was born on 25 Sep 1811 in Union Twp., Miami County, Ohio; died on 4 Jul 1903 in Carroll County, Indiana; was buried in Rockfield I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Rock Creek, Carroll County, Indiana. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Harmison and Nellie R. Harmison. There is a Harmison with headsto ne reading J.E. W. Harmison no dates given in row 9 - who is he??? This is next to the Stiger lot.

    Moved to Carroll County, Indiana following John's death and was in the 1870 Census of Carroll, Indiana.
