  1. 1.  Thomas Rhodes was born on 4 Jul 1756 in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States of America; died on 16 Oct 1848 in Van Buren County, Iowa, United States of America.

    Notes:

    The Fairfax M.M. reported that Thomas enlisted as a soldier and "left these parts". He was disowned 27 September 1777.

    Thomas Rhodes conveyed his interest in the mead farm, which was willed to him after his mother's death, to his brother, William Rhodes. In the deed conveyance, it stated that both brothers were living in Ohio; Thomas in Hamilton county, and William in Columbine county. William returned to Virginia. Both he and his brother, Joseph, witnessed the will of his uncle, William mead.

    Thomas married Sarah Lee in 1788 in Augusta County, Virginia. Sarah was born in 1760 in Bedford County, Virginia. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
